Pastor John E. Perez
Pastor John E. Perez was destined to minister God’s love, comfort,
strength and restoration to those devastated by hurt, betrayal and
abuse. Every aspect of his life experience was preparation for this
calling; nothing was wasted. Words spoken prophetically years ago have
come full-circle: His misery has become his ministry.
Born into a family of ministers, he grew up encouraged and mentored by
godly examples who knew a strong call of God was on his life; at the
same time, his childhood was characterized by abuse. He received Christ
at age 16, however, a few years later he became a prodigal. John left
the Lord, got married and went his own way. During that season, he
experienced many dark days. Although shattered emotionally, spiritually
and financially, God did not leave him and never removed the ministry
call on his life.
Finally, in 1997, John came to the end of himself and asked the Lord
to take over his life. At that time, his sister was attending Faith
Temple. He joined her there, served and was mentored by Pastor Michael
Dandridge in various aspects of ministry, including deliverance,
outreach evangelism and prison ministry. He also walks in a strong
prophetic impartation from the Pastor.
His giftedness in many areas is evident. John is an outstanding
teacher who strives to effectively communicate biblical truths
accurately and practically. Like many people with the gift of giving,
he is a math whiz, a superb manager of finances and keeps others
accountable in their use of ministry resources. These administrative
gifts are great assets to the Board of Directors of Faith Temple. In
addition to his tenure as President from 1997 to 2015 he served the
Board of House of Hope where he also served as the President of its
Board of Directors for a few years. However, his most cherished and
important ministry role was his service to Pastor Dandridge as a devoted
spiritual son and armor-bearer.
Since his return to the Lord, he has maintained a highly successful
sales career with positions of increasing responsibility in the car,
phone, banking and software sales industries at Fortune 500 companies.
In addition to his stellar sales record, he has used his corporate role
as a platform for community service. Together with other civic-minded
coworkers, he worked to provide cars for the families of disabled
children, built playgrounds in partnership with schools, and stocked
food pantries, among other good deeds. This demonstrates that Pastor
John’s commitment to service is evident in every aspect of his life.
He is a loving, “hands-on” father of three children from his first
marriage. Samantha, Kaitlyn and Matthew are still affectionately known
by their father as “The Three Musketeers”, even though they are now
adults.
In the years between 1997 and 2010, Pastor John grew steadily in
wisdom and stature and in favor of God and man. His life was full,
anointed, successful, and very productive spiritually, professionally,
and in ministry. He was mature in character and ministry experience. He
was positioned for the next level of service but one thing was missing.
He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD - Proverbs 18:22
