Water Levels

AS WE AS A COUNTRY DEAL WITH THE DEVASTATION IN TEXAS AND LOUISIANA OUR PRAYERS GO OUT TO ALL THOSE EFFECTED.

While I was driving home and I was getting a reminder that my blog was overdue, I asked the Lord what shall I write this week. The Spirit gave the title "Water Levels”. The Bible tells us in the covenant God made with Noah that he would never destroy the world with water again, but with fire. 

I reflected about Houston and their water levels that reached the heights of cars, stop signs and even houses. Then I reflected on where are the water levels of our people? Are they ankle high, waist high or over our heads? Some Christians today are still sitting in their spiritual "wading pools” or ankle-deep water, seeking an over flowing of spiritual water.

Many lives were lost in Houston, many names we might not know, but God knows them all by name. If we just sit in our spiritual wading pools. how many more lives will be lost because we have not thrown out the life line of salvation to our family friends and co-workers or even the strangers on the street that are waiting on their roof tops for the HOPE that Jesus brings.

Check and see where your water levels are this week, you just might need to get a bigger pool of water to wade in until you’re overflowing to the point of sharing Jesus with a drowning community.
